Burnham Area

Burnham is a medium-sized village in South Buckinghamshire to the east of Maidenhead and north of the Bath Road with a good balance of residential and commercial properties to rent or buy. The village contains a good range of properties, including terraces, flats, and houses close to the Burnham Beeches woodland. Buying property in Burnham's busy High Street, which also contains a handful of grade II listed buildings, is also highly desirable.

Community

Burnham boasts a recreation ground used by both dog walkers and children plus the annual donkey derby. Burnham Library won an award for its architecture, and Burnham Park Hall, is used for regular exercise classes and can be hired for parties and meetings of local organisations.

Burnham High Street offers a wide variety of local shops, pubs and restaurants including newsagents, two small supermarkets, hairdressers, a bookshop, coffee shops, dentist's surgery, Indian restaurants and several pubs, both new and traditional.

The beautiful Burnham Beeches woodland makes Burnham a great place to buy for nature lovers and walkers and there are regular guided walks and events for children and families.

Transport

Buses stop regularly at a mini bus terminal on Windsor Lane and travel to Maidenhead, Slough and Heathrow. Trains from Burnham station leave for London Paddington every half hour, this makes rental properties popular and there are also services to Maidenhead, Slough and Reading. By car there is convenient access to the A4 Bath Road and the M4.

Schools

Properties in Burnham are served by four popular primary schools, as well as senior schools - Burnham Grammar and Burnham Upper School. This means buying a family house in Burnham is a popular choice.
