Final man sentenced over tattoo parlour shootings

A convicted burglar has been handed a five-year prison sentence for his role in a double shooting at Fantasy Fine Line tattoo parlour inMaidenhead.

Sean Fury, 29, from Essex Close, Luton, appeared at Reading Crown Court this morning as the final member of the gun gang responsible for the attack in St Mark's Road on April 11 last year.

He had previously admitted conspiring to supply a controlled drug and did not stand trial over the shootings, which left two men injured.

Anthony Cooke, Leon Dorman, Joseph Gentle and Drizz James weregiven prison sentences at the same court on February 9for their roles in the 'drug deal gone wrong'.

This morning Judge Zoe Smith was told Fury knew some of the gang from prison, where he had served time for burglary in the past.

He was serving a community order at the time of the shootings but got involved in the £50,000 cocaine deal in the hope the money he could make would allow him to make a fresh start.

His role was as an 'introducer' between the parties involved in the deal, and although he admitted travelling to Maidenhead and wasseen on CCTVhe claims he was unaware the ensuing robbery was planned.

Fury was given credit for entering an early plea, for offering to give evidence at the trial - although this did not happen as he was later deemed unreliable as a witness - and for giving police the name of Drizz James.

He was sentenced to five years; of which he is expected to serve two-and-a-half, minus the 333 days he has already spent in custody.

Today's sentencing was the last in a case which involved more than 100 police officers from multiple forces and took nine months to make it to trial.
