Baylis Community Media CIC is an independent publisher of three news titles, providing news and information in print and online to the East Berkshire and South Bucks areas.
The company, which publishes the Maidenhead Advertiser, Slough Express and Windsor Express, is committed to the principles of fair, accurate and impartial reporting of local issues and aims to provide its readers with unrivalled coverage of the area.
All three of the news titles are owned by the Louis Baylis (Maidenhead Advertiser) Charitable Trust, which was created in 1962 by the Advertiser's proprietor, Louis Baylis, to safeguard the future of the paper and ensure it gave back to the community in every way it could.

In May 2008, the Slough Express and Windsor Express became part of the Baylis family, taking on the same commitment to independent, trust journalism and giving back to their community.
Up until June 2022, the Advertiser and Express were published by Baylis Media Ltd under the ownership of the Louis Baylis Trust.
in July 2022, a new company, Baylis Community Media Community Interest Company (CIC), took over as the newspapers' publisher, operating separately from the trust.
The titles are still owned by the trust, but the CIC publishes them as part of a licence agreement to help ensure both organisations can continue Louis Baylis’ mission.
The CIC is made up of the same team as Baylis Media Ltd, and remains committed to independent, community-minded journalism.

The Trust was set up by Louis Baylis in 1962 and its primary objective is: To work for the good of the community, principally in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.
The Trust distributed grants of over £100,000 to more than 100 recipients during the last financial year and has a policy of distributing the majority of the grants to local organisations and charities, the balance going to regional and national organisations.
The majority of applications for grants from the Trust are received by post from local and national charities and organisations that are aware of the Trust. The Trust supports all sections of the community in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and actively encourages applications for grants from the Trust.The bulk of donations are made to benefit the elderly and the young, although many other groups including the Arts are also supported.
