07:30PM, Thursday 12 October 2023

The introduction of a new ‘E’ parking zone for certain roads in Slough features in this week’s public notices.

Slough Borough Council has made an order which has seen a new ‘E’ parking zone created combining the currently controlled roads of Clements Close and Clifton Road with the currently uncontrolled roads of Chichester Court and Sussex Place.

Parking permits may be issued to all homes in Chichester Court, Clements Close and Clifton Road

At Sussex Place, permits may be issued to even numbers only from four to 52 inclusive, excluding number four and Sussex Keep, and odd numbers only from one to 59 inclusive, excluding Cheshire Court.

The permits may also be issued to numbers six and eight only on Uxbridge Road.

There is a limit of two residents permits per household for all of these listed properties, with a third permit only being issued under ‘exceptional circumstances’.

Each of the eligible properties in the zone would be provided an allowance of 720 visitor parking hours to buy over a 12-month period.

Waiting restrictions and parking places have been introduced into any of the currently uncontrolled areas of Clifton Road and Sussex Place.

Additionally, changes would also be made on roads, both inside and outside the proposed zone.

This includes new no waiting ‘at all times’ restrictions in some sections of Chichester Court and extending the existing no waiting ‘at any time’ restrictions on the east side.

The changes have also seen the council extend the length of the existing no waiting ‘at all times’ restrictions into various sections of Hanover Close.

The order came into force on Thursday, October 5.
