McDonald's to open new restaurant in Taplow

A popular fast-food chain has revealed that it is opening a new restaurant in Taplow at the end of this year.

A new McDonald’s restaurant will be opening its doors at the end of November, the company has confirmed.

The news follows on from plans on Buckinghamshire Council’s planning portal to bring a McDonald’s to the former Evans Cycles unit at The Bishop Centre.

In December 2022, plans were submitted turn the former Evans Cycles unit on the Bath Road into a ‘commercial, business and service and/or hot food takeaway’ and this was later given conditional planning permission.

Further alteration plans were given conditional permission earlier this year.

Latest plans, submitted by McDonald's for illuminated signs at the site, have also been given conditional consent.

Other McDonald’s restaurants can also be found in Maidenhead, Slough and Windsor.

A McDonald’s spokesperson said: “We are excited to be progressing with our new restaurant in Taplow, which will be opening at the end of November this year.

“The new restaurant will bring significant investment to the local area as well as creating at least 65 full and part time jobs.”
