Public notices: Road closures in Old Windsor and Slough

In the public notices this week, there are two road closures in Slough and one in Old Windsor.

Slough Borough Council is looking to close Kidderminster Road between numbers 8 and 10.

This would be from a minute after midnight on Monday, January 8, 2024, until 11.59pm on Thursday, January 11.

The council is also looking to close Ajax Avenue between numbers 635 and 637.

This will be from a minute past midnight on Saturday, November 4 until 11.59pm on Friday, December 8.

Copies of the road closure plans showing the parts of the highway affected may be inspected at the site; or on the Slough council website at www.slough.gov.uk/ttro

Over in Old Windsor, the Royal Borough council is looking to close St Luke’s Road from its junction with St Peter’s Road northwards for a distance of approximately 60 metres.

The alternative route for northbound vehicles affected is via the B3021 St Luke’s Road and the A308 Straight Road.

This the parish council is planning a Christmas-themed community activity.

The road will be closed from 2pm-8pm on Sunday, December 10 only.

In all cases, road closures could last for as long as 18 months – and can only be extended with approval from the Secretary of State for Transport.

Signs will appear on the road notifying drivers of closures and diversions will also be signposted.

Access will be maintained for all local residents and businesses.
