Maidenhead United will be on the road in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup after being drawn away at National League South side Weston-Super-Mare.

喜鹊在fi进入竞争nal qualifying round stage whereas Weston have already played a couple of matches in the cup, overcoming Truro City 2-0 and Farnborough 1-0 away to negotiate the second and third qualifying rounds.

The tie is set to take place at the Woodspring Stadium on Saturday, October 14, 3pm kick-off.

喜鹊会再次hoping to advance to the first round of the competition, where sides from League 1 and 2 of the EFL enter the draw, and perhaps this is also the year they manage to advance into the second round, having not managed that feat in more than 135 years.

Last season they saw central defender Will De Havilland controversially sent off in a 1-0 home defeat to league rivals Dagenham & Redbridge in the first round.

Elsewhere in the draw, National League leaders Chesterfield will host seventh tier Kettering Town and Altrincham entertain Oldham Athletic in an all-National League tie. In the southern half of the draw Bracknell Town have a home tie against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Ties will be played on October 14 and the winners will net £9,375 in prize money.

Maidenhead’s local rivals Slough Town have reached the FA Cup second round twice in recent history and their name was also in the hat for today’s (Monday) draw at Wembley.

Scott Davies’ men face a challenging trip to National League Ebbsfleet United on October 14 should they come through tomorrow night’s third qualifying round replay at home to Salisbury.

Southern League Premier side Salisbury had the better of Saturday’s goalless draw at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium but failed to take their chances and the Rebels just about came through unscathed to fight another day.

门将Rohan Luthra无与伦比的形式visitors in Wiltshire. He pulled off a series of stunning saves to keep Slough in the competition and Davies will be hoping for - or rather expecting - a much improved performance from his side at Arbour Park.

Salisbury - who sit fourth in their division - took the game to their opponents from the off, with Charlie Gunson firing just wide after six minutes after a sweeping counterattack. Tyrese Dyce header narrowly wide in the 26th minute for the Rebels but that’s about as good as it got for the visitors as pressure mounted at the end of the first half and into the second.

The referee waved away a penalty appeal after a challenge from Davies on Fitchett while Josh Hedges lofted the ball just over the bar in the 48th minute.

Gunson swept another glorious chance just wide of the post in the 58th minute and was then denied by the flying heroics of Luthra in the 74th minute. He pulled off another ‘world class’ stop to keep the scores level with 10 minutes to go and the Rebels goal continued to lead a charmed life as the hosts struck the bar in 92nd minute before the ball was scrambled home - only to see the linesman’s flag raised.

Salisbury had the upper hand in round one, but they won’t have the surprise factor for round two and Slough will be expected to play much better on their own turf.
