Thames Valley Police has advised the public to expect an increased police presence to 'reassure and protect communities’ amid the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza.
In a statement released on Tuesday night, the force said it understood that the events in the Middle East would be concerning to local communities.

Patrols are set to increase across the area to provide a ‘visible presence’ and police officers will be engaging with communities to ‘ensure people feel safe.’
Dedicated officers will also be liaising with Synagogues and Mosques to make sure issues can be raised as soon as possible through a named contact.
Assistant Chief Constable, Christian Bunt, said: “We are aware that the ongoing conflict may lead to increased tensions and protests over the coming days.
“We are continuing to monitor intelligence locally and nationally and ensuring that any response balances the right to protest against any disruption to communities.
“Anyone who experiences threatening behaviour or is worried about their safety is urged to contact police.
