Firefighters raced to a house fire in Langley on Thursday night.
Crews from both Langley and Slough fire stations were called out at about 2.30pm to Stanley Green East.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in an upstairs bedroom.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire before using a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
Crews were on the scene for approximately one hour.
The fire was caused by an electrical fault caused by cheap electrical cables.
Occupants were ‘very lucky’ that the fire did not spread – although there was smoke damage from smoke spreading all around the house.

Additionally, the fire station has advised to close doors when going out, which, in case of fire, can limit the spread of both fire and smoke, reducing damage.
