Twyford based charity Understanding Dementia is to hold its first in-person fundraising quiz night in four years.
Taking place on November 25 this popular evening out includes a fish and chip supper and a pay bar.
Supporting the evening is a whole host of Twyford businesses including Bridge House Care Home and Fit20.
Funds raised on the night from ticket sales and raffle will go towards the free training that the charity gives to people looking after loved ones with dementia.
According to the charity, there is increased demand for dementia carer courses, so much so that they have recruited a new trainer and hopes are to bring in more trainers to cover a wider area, funds willing.
Understanding Dementia is running another set of courses beginning in January.
Shirley Pearce, the charity’s founder, CEO and lead trainer said: “We are so happy to be holding a quiz in-person this year. We know it will be huge fun for all and we have some great raffle prizes on offer too. So, anyone who’s interested should get a team together, get their thinking caps on and buy their tickets now at www.understandingdementia.co.uk.”
Understanding Dementia Quiz Night, November 25, 7.30pm at Charvil Village Hall.
Tickets are on sale until November 11.
