When is the Maidenhead Christmas lights switch-on?

Key details of the Maidenhead Christmas lights switch-on event have been revealed to the Advertiser this week.

The all-day event in Maidenhead Town Centre will mark the start of the festive season with a bustling market in St Ives Road and Library Square on Saturday, November 25.

A selection of festive stalls, a bar and street food as well as children’s funfair rides will be on offer as organisers promise something for all the family to enjoy.

Live entertainment from community groups including Sign4You Choir will then kick off at 11am.

The main stage will begin at 3pm with performances from musical acts such as Courtland Stories, Dance Inspired and headliners, Bottle Kids.

Closer to evening, the countdown for the Christmas lights will begin just before 6pm and depending on the weather, could be followed by a grand fireworks display.

The event this year, along with the festive market, is supported by the Maidenhead Town Partnership which includes the Shanly Foundation, The Louis Baylis Charitable Trust, HUB, JJ Rhatigan, Nicholsons Shopping Centre and the RBWM Property Company.

A spokesperson said they were grateful for the support of the partners and volunteer committee.
