Public notices: Temporary closures announced ahead of Cookham Bridge works

Temporary road and footpath closures due to the start of the works on Cookham Bridge next month feature in this week’s public notices.

Temporary Closures

An order is intended to be made to stop any vehicle from travelling along part of the A4094 Sutton Road in Cookham from its junction with Churchgate to Borough Boundary, and that part of A4094 Ferry Lane in Bourne End from Borough Boundary northward for 20 metres.

The proposed order is for bridge repair works and shall come into operation from 12.01am on Monday, October 16, with works expected to be completed at 11.59pm on Friday, March 22 2024.

The alternative route for those affected is via the A4094 Ferry Lane, A4094 Hedsor Road, A4094 Station Road, A4155 The Parade, A4155 Marlow Road, A404, A4 Bath Road, A4 Castle Hill, A4 Bad Godesberg Way, A4 St Cloud Way, A4 Bridge Road, A4094 Ray Mead Road, A4094 Lower Cookham Road and A4094 Sutton Road.

An order is also set to be made to stop anyone from proceeding along Footpath 60 in Cookham between its junctions with Footpath 72 and Footpath 61.

The proposed order is for resurfacing and anti-skid works and will be in operation from 9pm on Sunday, October 15 until 5am on Monday, October 16. The diversion route for those affected will be via A4 Bad Godesberg Way, A308 Frascati Way, A308 Grenfell Place, A308 Grenfell Road, A308 Kings Road, A308 Braywick Road, A308 Windsor Road, A308 Maidenhead Road, A332 Royal Windsor Way, A355 Tuns Lane, A4 Bath Road, and A4 Bridge Road.
