Every Halloween event taking place in and around Maidenhead this week

With Halloween just around the corner, here is a roundup of the events taking place in the area for kids and adults alike.

The Night Forest at Braywick Nature Centre is offering an after-dark experience for the whole family featuring pumpkin carving, campfire stories and a spooky walk through the Wild Wood.

Between October 25 and 28 from 5.30 to 7pm, children aged 4 to 11 are invited to bring a pumpkin, a carving tool, a torch to carry and a torch or bike light to illuminate a pumpkin.

A spooky Halloween-themed trail at Woolley Firs Environmental Education Centre in Maidenhead is on offer today (October 25) from 10am to 1pm.

This self-guided trail will teach children about wildlife and takes 1-1.5 hours to complete.

Craft Coop is hosting free pumpkin carving in the Nicholsons Shopping Centre on Thursday, October 26 from 10am to 3pm with pumpkins donated by Maidenhead Fruits.

Hauntings is performed by actor Gerard Logan at Norden Farm. Tickets are £16 and £14 for concession.

A Halloween costume party is taking place at the Maidens Head in Maidenhead on Friday, October 27 at 8pm with prizes available for the best costume.

The Long Barn at Norden Farm is hosting a Halloween hoedown with live music from ceilidh and barn dance band Cut a Shine.

Tickets for the event at 7.30pm on Saturday, October 28 are £15 and open to everyone aged 12+.

Victorian para-psychologist, Professor Fredericks will share tales of ghosts and supernatural sightings to those brave enough to explore the grounds of the old Manor house in Stubbings.

Included in the ticket price is a dinner in the café, along with a 25-30 minute walk round Stubbings’ private grounds. Halloween fancy dress is encouraged.

Partygoers at The Tonic Halloween Party at The Pavilion on Saturday, Oct 28 at 6.30pm can expect eerie decorations, music, and a lively atmosphere at the Maidenhead and Bray Sports Club in Bray High Street.

The Pineapple in Dorney is hosting a ‘spooktacular’ party on Saturday October 28 from 1pm to 11.30pm featuring fancy dress for adults, kids and dogs as well as discos and a carved pumpkin competition.

A day of live music at Off The Tap returns on Sunday, October 29 for the Halloween Festival.

From 1pm, 14 musicians will perform a mixture of covers and originals and a prize will be awarded to the best fancy dress. An after party at Potion and Motion will follow.

Until October 29, Copas Farms is hosting Pick Your Own pumpkins in Cookham and Iver.

A family Halloween fun day organised by Angela’s Appeals will take place at Oaken Grove park on Sunday, October 29 from 1pm to 5pm.

The Marlow Bottom Scarecrow Trail launched this week and will run until Sunday, October 29. This half term activity is a fundraising event for Burford School and trail maps are available to purchase for £3 from Tin Town Coffee, The Barn Club and Da Luca’s.

A sizzling new challenge is launching at Thames Hospice in Windsor Road on Halloween day (October 31).

A Firewalk, which takes place from 6pm to 9pm will see participants brave the heat and walk across red-hot coals.

The walk will take place in the Hospice gardens, and training and guidance will be provided.

Walkers must be aged 14 years, tickets cost £25 and the minimum sponsorship is £100.
