A driver, passenger and a dog were helped by firefighters following a crash which left a Land Rover Defender wedged on another vehicle in Maidenhead today (November 1).

A crew from Maidenhead attended the scene in Oldfield Road at about 3.45pm today.

A spokesperson at the fire station said the driver had suffered a medical incident which resulted in the car ‘popping up’ and becoming wedged against another parked car.

The car had been left in an awkward position and firefighters used specialist equipment to help the occupants get out.
Firefighters then used equipment designed to take one vehicle off of another.

Thames Valley Police were at the scene and the road was closed for about 30-40 minutes while firefighters provided assistance.

An ambulance was at the scene for a short time, however, the spokesperson added that nobody needed medical assistance.
